Fall. A time of transition and change. The nature around us not only changes, but we also slow down and start to stay inside more. Fall is the start of hibernation for most people. While it is needed, it can often feel suffocating.

I’ve got 10 Christian Affirmations for Fall that will hopefully help you ease into the season with positivity. Make sure to check out my post on 5 Ways to Help you Mentally Transition to Fall!

First, let’s talk about the importance of affirmations and how to implement them into your daily routine.

Why are affirmations important?

Affirmations are a helpful way to change your mindset. We often get stuck in patterns of thinking that are unhelpful, harmful and negative. These thought patterns can lead to unhealthy behaviors that really hurt us mentally and even physically. They can harm our relationships with others and with ourselves.

By implementing affirmations, especially those based in biblical truth, you are introducing your mind to TRUTH and positivity, not the lies that you’ve believed for so long. Sometimes we don’t even realize that we’ve held a negative belief about ourselves until we see an affirmation that really resonates with us.

How to Implement Affirmations in Your Life

The only way to get out of these cycles of thought patterns is to change them. But changing a thought pattern takes time and consistency!

I’ve found that the best thing to do is to literally schedule time (3-5 minutes a day) to do your affirmations. I do mine in the morning while I’m getting ready.

Here’s the part that people REALLY don’t like. You need to say the affirmations out loud. Even if it only starts as a whisper at first, it is so important that your mind hear the truth, not just read it. By saying an affirmation, not only are you reading it, but you are speaking it and listening to it. It is SO much more powerful when all of your being is saying the affirmations.

I say between 5-10 affirmations, depending on how I’m feeling or what I am struggling with. I have my affirmation cards that deal with anxiety, transitions, and now this shift in season. Personally, fall is the season that I struggle the most in, so having a new set of affirmations to help me remain grounded and positive is really important to me right now.
