I can’t believe I finally did it. I wrote the devotional that has been on my heart for quite some time. God has been pushing my boundaries and pushing me to do this. I’ve resisted, I’ve fought, I’ve had to be dragged along, but I have finally done what God has asked me to do.

I think that the reason I fought so hard is that I didn’t believe that what I said was good enough… that it mattered… that anyone would care or listen. But, none of that is important. Nor, to God, does any of those reasons matter. He brought me to this place in my life, He gave me this task. What He does with it is up to Him.

I’ve had to let it go at that. I’m not here, on my tiny corner of the internet, to make money. I’m here to help those struggling see that they aren’t alone. That things can get better. That God cares. God loves you. God loves you so much darling.

The full 15 day devotional has 3 parts to it daily: a short devotional reading, self reflection questions and then self discovery questions. The thing that I’ve always missed about any devotional that I’ve done is that it didn’t give me the opportunity to connect with the reading. These questions make you focus after you’ve read and drive you to use what you’ve learned in your life.

While I am in recovery from an Eating Disorder, I have decided to make this a Recovery devotional. The more I thought and the more I prayed, the more I saw the similarities between us. Recovering from Eating Disorders, addictions, anxiety, depression, and all of these other mental health issues is important! Devotionals geared toward us are few and far between.
